Steamboat Willie introduced Disney's most iconic character Mickey mouse.
over the years mickey mouses appearance has changed the first big change was one that was implemented to most Disney characters of the time white gloves gave hands a less stick like look and gesturing became a huge way for animators top convey emotions and feelings.
With the introduction of colour animation Mickey got his biggest rework seen in Fantasia Mickey was a more flushed out character and had a very distinct look that could be costumed for films like fantasia and the three musketeers. today Mickey had returned to looking like his 1939 look and no longer see's costume changes in his programs. in recent years Mickey has started to be modeled in 3D to appeal to younger generation he has become the face of Disney but as a character is mainly used in young children animation like Mickey Mouse Club House.
