BVA 124 Stop Motion

Today we did the voice recordings for the animatic.
Nik Craig and I Each took a character that suited our vocal range and tone best to voice in the animatic we felt it would be better if we each had a part to play.
We proceed to record each voice line at least 4 times to give us a pool to pick from this allowed us to keep the voice consistent. This was particually important for Craig and I, as our characters each had accents and unique voices and speech patterns it was hard for us to be consistent so more takes gave us a good chance to find that consistency.

After the recording, Nik worked on adding them to the animatic and Craig and I worked on the Character turnarounds. As a group we reevaluated the characters  mainly the anchor and saw decide that his costume would be very hard to create and animate as it was a full suit so we change it to a turtleneck sweater as this would still hide the connecting lines fro the head to the body while still making the character look formal.

My Final character portraits: These images give a rough colour palette for the characters and list some of the key feature of the puppets and how we will go about creating them.:

Craigs Turns Around :While i Created the Character portraits Craig did the turnarounds  giving use a prospective view of our characters form different angles this will be useful when it come to building the puppets.

Niks Set Prop Concept: as a group we decide what props we would need for our animation and Nik did a quick sketch up of the basic props:
